the year of change continues.

2010: what a year.

and the newest of the new:

a new job.

i start at lime on nov. 15th

i'm scared, nervous, and a little out of my comfort zone.

but i'm also confident that it will be amazing.

miles just looked so dang cute today,

we had an impromptu photo shoot with my camera phone at target.

not having internet at home is a blessing and a curse...

blessing: nearly EVERY SINGLE ONE of my boxes was unpacked & put away after a week of moving in.

curse: no time for blogging :)

i will however, say i saw this photo on the kitchn today

& i still haven't decided what it makes me crave...

a gorgeous bouquet of roses, or a decadent dessert (in chocolate please).

well, it's about killed me...

but we're within a week of our moving date. the stress is nearly unbearable, and i'm sure everyone who knows me wants to lock me in a closet, but i promise to be a better mother, wife, daughter, friend, blogger, etc. when this is all over with & i can start going on to my real life again! can't wait to pull into the driveway, decorate the walls & call this little house our home.

miles birthday weekend.

it was LITERALLY the whole weekend...

i'll start from the beginning:

friday morning, we woke miles up with his present from jonny & i

then he went to school and shared rice krispie treats with all his classmates.

that night, he went to pirate island with his dad & brittany & some friends.

brittany sent me this picture of the party...he looks so happy!

saturday we woke up and got miles, and trekked up to midway

he got some great gifts, swam in the river, and ate cake & ice cream!

sunday the holt's threw miles an adorable little party with their family...unfortunately, we don't have photos because my camera died : ( they had tons of balloons, (they dropped them from the balcony when he walked in the front door, so cute), batman streamers, tons of amazing gifts, pizza (miles favorite), cake & ice cream (AGAIN, 3rd time!)

sunday we had our family party up at my mom's in salt lake, and i'm so friggin jealous of her new house. it's absolutely adorable. she's going to have to work double time to help me set up ours!

those are just the first 2 rooms of the house, but they're so cute.

moving week

it's moving weekend!

we've been doing little by little the past week of boxing up all our things, but this weekend is when we finally get to do something about the towers of cardboard i keep maneuvering around...

today, we're moving everything we need for the next 2.5 weeks to my grandparents (which will be our temporary residence) and then moving all of our furniture and the majority of our boxes into the garage of the new house, which is so nice because it eliminates an extra move. we're hoping to close sept 16th and move in the next day (friday) and that weekend.

we saw our basement with all the sheetrock tonight for the first time, and it made me even more excited! the family room down there is going to be amazing!!

i've been hesitant to put pictures up of the house, just in case something happened, but after my miraculous save with jonny's credit (they had some freeze on it, that wouldn't allow us to get the loan if it wasn't removed) we are feeling pretty great about everything, so here's a sneak peek:

CONCACAF Champion's League

Group A match up tonight:

Real Salt Lake @ Cruz Azul (in Mexico City)

Should be a hard match for RSL. I don't know much about the Mexican clubs, but from what I've heard Cruz Azul is one of the better ones. Historically, the Mexican clubs have dominated the CCL. Add that to the fact that the Mexican supporters might throw bags of urine or batteries at our players, and things don't look good for us tonight.



First win for an MLS team in Mexico? (0-19-2)


We'll see.

The top teams of the competition also get a spot in the 2011 Club World Cup. (Club meaning a team that plays in a league, such as MLS, rather than an international team, like the US Men's National Team)
