moving week

it's moving weekend!

we've been doing little by little the past week of boxing up all our things, but this weekend is when we finally get to do something about the towers of cardboard i keep maneuvering around...

today, we're moving everything we need for the next 2.5 weeks to my grandparents (which will be our temporary residence) and then moving all of our furniture and the majority of our boxes into the garage of the new house, which is so nice because it eliminates an extra move. we're hoping to close sept 16th and move in the next day (friday) and that weekend.

we saw our basement with all the sheetrock tonight for the first time, and it made me even more excited! the family room down there is going to be amazing!!

i've been hesitant to put pictures up of the house, just in case something happened, but after my miraculous save with jonny's credit (they had some freeze on it, that wouldn't allow us to get the loan if it wasn't removed) we are feeling pretty great about everything, so here's a sneak peek:

CONCACAF Champion's League

Group A match up tonight:

Real Salt Lake @ Cruz Azul (in Mexico City)

Should be a hard match for RSL. I don't know much about the Mexican clubs, but from what I've heard Cruz Azul is one of the better ones. Historically, the Mexican clubs have dominated the CCL. Add that to the fact that the Mexican supporters might throw bags of urine or batteries at our players, and things don't look good for us tonight.



First win for an MLS team in Mexico? (0-19-2)

*CONCACAF Champion's League is where the best North American, Central American, and Caribbean Clubs play in a tournament to crown the best Club of the region. The top teams of the competition also get a spot in the 2011 Club World Cup. (Club meaning a team that plays in a league, such as MLS, rather than an international team, like the US Men's National Team)

holy birthday.

my birthday was very...interesting.

let's just say stress level was through the roof, tensions were high, and my birthday was on a sunday which always is terrible. but, we made the best of it and had some fun.

saturday night we went with a big group of family and friends to ruby river. i felt like a steak.
then sunday went like this:

and spent way too much time here:which is also a present, because husband surprised me with this new bedding set that i've been wanting!

late monday morning, we found out they'd basically accepted our offer on our house, so that was definitely great news. i'm probably getting a little ahead of myself posting a photo of it, but things are looking pretty good and we should be under contract tomorrow...i hope i'm not jinxing us :)

we are so beyond excited for this new adventure!!

oh and i start school the week of the 25th...it's been such a pain in the butt getting everything worked out, but i am definitely excited to start and just get into my new routine.

allergies

well, we have 100% proof that miles is somehow taking after his step dad

(as opposed to either of his biological parents)

he's DEFINITELY allergic to cats.

houses!

life is just really crazy!

we will officially be out of our rental on AUGUST 31st! i can't believe it's going to be so soon, with everything else that's going on, i haven't packed one thing...but we have put in 2 offers on homes, one we are a back up offer, and the second we'll hear today if it is accepted. i honestly hope we get that one because the home is brand new, never been lived in, and also, it is literally a mile from my work. being that close to work, the freeway, uvu (yes i'm officially ENROLLED) would be beyond amazing, so i'm crossing my fingers, toes, and eyes that we get it!

a few things

1. so, by september 15th:

a. i will be 27, which is just insanity.

b. i will be moved out of my townhouse..

c. hopefully (crossing fingers) a homeowner.

d. a part time student at uvu

e. have planned another epic birthday party for miles.

g. all while being a part time employee & a 3/4 of the time mom : )

2. why won't my hair cooperate? i want straight with a little bit of wave so it looks like i did nothing...what i get? frizzy with too much curly/wave in odd spots.

3. today is my lovely little misses (she's actually a mrs.) birthday! we've been through it all, thick and thin, can't live without you to talking every few months. but every time we see each other (she lives in chicago, so lucky) it's like we never skipped a beat. she's there WHENEVER i need her, and i appreciate her more than she could ever know.

the weekend.

we had a great weekend, some highlights in order of happening:

1. raise!
2. summer social which turned out really fun.
3. real salt lake game on saturday night. it rained on us, but i think it made it more fun.
4. spent sunday at promontory point at my stepmom teri's parents house, (excuse me, 3rd house)
swimming & had a yummy salmon dinner. i also had a shopping spree for work clothes.
